Authors publishing in the Southeast Asian Journal of Science and Technology (SAJST) retain significant rights with respect to their work, which is outlined below:

Patent and Trademark Rights: Nothing in this agreement prevents the author from utilizing the material in the content of the submitted manuscript in a patent or trademark application.
Reuse Rights: Authors retain the right to reuse all or portions of their work in other works, without needing permission from SAJST, including for classroom use or in subsequent compilations of the author’s works, provided that the original SAJST publication is cited.
Sharing Policy: Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) after the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as greater citation of published work.

Authors retain copyright of their work, it is essential to note that this does not infringe upon the author’s rights to use the content in other works. This includes:

License to Publish: The author(s) grant SAJST an license to publish, and distribute the article in any form or medium
All Rights Retained: Despite the license to publish, authors retain the right to use their work in any capacity, including for commercial purposes, and to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of SAJST’s published version of the work, acknowledging its initial publication in this journal.
Open Access Agreement: SAJST publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) or any other license chosen by the author, under which others can share the work with an acknowledgment of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal. Authors retain all rights to their work under these licenses, ensuring their freedom to use and share their creations as they see fit. See Open Access Statement for detailed information.

Permissions and Commercial Use

Third-party Material: Authors are responsible for securing permission for any content not created by them or not in the public domain. This includes text, figures, and data.
Commercial Use: Commercial use of articles is permitted under the chosen license, provided the original work is correctly cited and not used in a derogatory manner. Authors retain the right to use their work for commercial purposes without restriction.
