Abstract

This study investigates the influence of insurance company health, premium growth ratio, claim burden, and underwriting on profitability in Indonesian insurance companies. The research utilizes annual financial reports from 9 insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2019 to 2023. The data is analyzed using panel data regression with an Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) approach. The findings reveal that Risk-Based Capital (RBC), premium growth, claim burden, and underwriting do have a significant impact on profitability. The study suggests that insurance companies should focus on effective business strategies. Factors influencing profitability, such as risk management, marketing strategies, and market conditions.
